Design QA on the real site, not a screenshot thread

The design was right in Figma. On the staging site the spacing is off, the hover state is missing and the button wraps on a phone. Writing that up as annotated screenshots takes longer than spotting it.

With Feedback DevTools you click the element on the live or preview page and say what should change. The developer receives the screenshot, the exact element, the viewport you saw it at and, on React sites, the component and file to edit.

How it works

  1. 1

    Open the build

Use the project's shareable link on staging, a preview deploy or production. Nothing to install.

  2. 2

    Click what drifted

Pick the element, or drag a region for layout problems, and describe the change in plain words.

  3. 3

    Context goes with it

Screenshot, element, URL and viewport attach automatically, so "on mobile" never needs explaining.

  4. 4

    See it ship

Each comment moves across a board from new to done, so you know which fixes landed without asking.

Why designers pick Feedback DevTools

  • Review behaviour, not pictures. Hover states, responsive breakpoints and real content only show up in the browser, and that is where you comment.
  • No tickets to write. A click and a sentence replace the annotated-screenshot-plus-explanation routine.
  • Developers start at the right file. On React sites each comment names the component and source file:line behind the element.
  • Invite the whole team for free. Pricing is per project, so adding designers, writers and reviewers costs nothing.

See a real report before you sign up

The 60-second demo shows an actual source-mapped item: component, file:line, console error and the Claude Code prompt it generates. No account needed.

Frequently asked questions

Can I give feedback on Figma files or images?

No. Feedback DevTools works on built web pages: staging, preview or production. For mock-ups, use your design tool's comments, then switch to Feedback DevTools once the page is built.

Do I need an account or a browser extension?

Neither. The project owner shares a link or adds the widget to the site, and you comment straight on the page.

Can I point out a layout problem rather than one element?

Yes. Drag to capture a region of the page and comment on it, for spacing and alignment issues that span several elements.

How much does it cost?

Collecting feedback is free and unlimited. Pro, at $9/mo per project, adds AI triage and Autopilot pull requests.
